NEFOWA made massive effort for the passage of the long pending ‘Real Estate Regulatory Bill’
Multiplying its efforts towards the passage of ‘Real Estate Regulatory Bill’, NEFOWA had organized a huge peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar on 19th July, 2015, in which a large number of the flat buyers participated. Many other flat buyers association of Delhi and NCR region also supported this protest. From the day of its foundation, NEFOWA have been making tremendous efforts for the passage of the long pending ‘Real Estate Regulatory Bill’. In past, the Delegation of Team NEFOWA have been meeting the top leaders of both UPA and NDA and also sent letters to the concerned ministry apprising the urgent need of the Bill in Real Estate Sector to fix-up the accountability and to have transparency in the real estate sector.

NEFOWA honoured to share its views and idea with the Select Committee of Rajya Sabha
With the initiative of consulting the flat buyers association for their suggestions on Real Estate Regulatory Bill, Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation had invited NEFOWA representatives to attend the meeting with Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Select Committee   at Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi. President Abhishek Kumar, General Secretary Shweta Bharti and Co-founder Indrish Gupta represented NEFOWA in the meeting on 6th July, 2015. NEFOWA had also submitted a list of suggestions to the Rajy Sabha Select Committee to be incorporated in the Real Estate Regulatory Bill for a better and strong Bill, which was much appreciated by the committee.

NEFOWA concerned about Earthquake measure and quality control
In view of the recent earthquakes, NEFOWA has written letters to the authority, UP govt. and the concerned agencies for the checking of Earthquake measure and the quality control of the materials and techniques used in the construction of the buildings of Greater Noida West.   Team NEFOWA had also done meeting with them for the implementation of the same and asked them for the formation of a committee for this. NEFOWA has strongly emphasized the need of quality control & earthquake measures in the construction.

 NEFOWA appealed to the Ministry of Environment to clear NGT issue
NEFOWA have written letter to Shri Prakash Javdekar, Hon. Minister of Environment, Forests & Climate Change appealing him to publish Final Notification of eco-sensitive Zone of Okhla Sanctuary to give relief to Noida Flat buyers. The construction of homes of 60,000 Noida flat buyers are ready and they are awaiting for possession which cannot given by Noida Authority in absence of Final Notification of Eco-sensitive zone of Okhla Sanctuary by MOEF&CC.

NEFOWA asked GNIDA for the provisions of Fire Control System and safety arrangements in Greater Noida West Housing Projects.
In view of the recent tragic incident of fire in Lake Homes Complex, a high rise building of Mumbai, NEFOWA have sent letter to GNIDA asking for the provisions of Fire Control System and safety arrangements in Greater Noida West Housing Projects. NEFOWA have also sent some points of suggestion for the fire control including the establishment of a fire station in the area.

Mission “MASS RTI SUBMISSION” organized by NEFOWA on 8th Aug, 2015 at GNIDA office
NEFOWA had organized a ‘Mass RTI Submission’ Mission on 8th August, 2014 at GNIDA office in which around 500 flat buyers of Greater Noida West took part to file the RTI to seek information about their projects under the banner of NEFOWA. The objective of this campaign was to provide true and necessary information to the flat buyers about their projects so that any flat buyer does not get trapped under the unethical act by the builders. Noida Extension, where the issues have already been surrounded by controversies, the possibilities are that these illegal acts of builders cannot be ruled out.
